What assisted living means here

Assisted living at French Meadow Place is two things billed separately: the apartment, and the care. The apartment rate covers the home itself and the services everyone receives. The care level covers the hands-on help one person receives.

That split is fair to families. Someone who needs a safety check and a reminder about appointments does not pay the same as someone who needs help with every transfer.

A nurse completes an assessment before move-in to set the starting care level. It is reviewed when needs change, in either direction.

Assisted living questions

How do you decide which care level someone needs?

A nurse completes an assessment before move-in and recommends a level based on the help the person needs each day. You will know the level and the price before you sign a contract.

What happens if my parent needs more help later?

The care level is reviewed when needs change. Moving up a level changes the care portion of the bill. The apartment rate stays tied to the apartment. If memory care becomes the better fit, it is here in the same building.

Can you manage medications?

Yes. Medication management starts at care Level 2.

Can a couple live together?

Yes. The second occupant rate is $1,200 a month, and each person has their own care level based on their own needs.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes. A respite stay of up to 30 days is $225 a day in assisted living. It works well after a hospital stay or when a family caregiver needs a break.
